What the AMD and OpenAI deal actually includes

The agreement covers four years and gives OpenAI the right to buy up to 160 million AMD shares at one penny each. That’s not a typo. What this means for developers and smaller companies

Real talk: if you’re a developer or a company building on AI infrastructure, this probably won’t change your day-to-day in the next few months. But over the next year or two, more competition in the chip market tends to push prices down and availability up.
